Several manageable boxes can be easier to organise than one enormous chest. Choose a size you can lift when full and a system that lets you recognise the contents without dismantling the whole stack.
Iris Ohyama TB-45: two 45-litre boxes
The selected set contains two clear boxes with lids and snap closures. Each holds 45 litres. Separate seasonal clothing, accessories and hobby supplies into different boxes; clear sides help you identify a category before opening.
Match the size to the contents
Light textiles can make use of a larger volume. Books and tools make a box heavy before filling it, so divide them into smaller loads. Check shelf clearance including the lid and projecting clips.
Stack for everyday use
Put heavier contents below and frequently used items on top. Use compatible lids and shapes and follow the manufacturer’s load limits. A low stack you can handle is more useful than a tower you must unpack each time.
A lid is not an airtight seal
Snap clips help hold the lid closed but do not establish a watertight seal. Store clothing clean and dry. Damp locations or delicate documents may require a container designed specifically for that protection.
